Design

The Imalent DT70 come in a black cardboard box with some information and sealed with an Imalent authenticity sticker. When open the box, you will see the DT70 is secured in precut dense foam. You can pull it out with the help of a ribbon design of the package. Along with it, there is a USB cable, a holser, two spare O-ring, and an English manual. What’s more, four 18650 Batteries are also included in the flashlight. There is a plastic insulator there to prevent the light to be turned on. Thus, remember to remove it before you use the light.

As for DT70 flashlight, it’s made of Aerospace-grade aluminum alloy body with Type III hard-anodized surface treatment. There are also some light knurling on the body. Thus, it looks very sturdy. With a size of 146mm x 70mm x 50mm and weight of 427 g, it looks more compact and feels lighter in hand than many flashlights that hold 4 x 18650 batteries. The head of the light is in unique design which can help prevent overheating. The emitters of DT70 are in 4 partially fused OP reflectors under a AR treated glass. There are two electronic switches on the body of DT70, as well as a OLED display and a micro USB port for charging. But the design of the two switches are not user-friendly. They’re big but flush with the light and kind of stiff. Thus, it’s hard to find and not easy to operate, especially with the gloves. There is a thick rubber cover on the micro USB port which ensures the light can endure the dust and water (IPX8). The DT70 can stand up like a candle because its tailcap is flat. The Brand and model engraved in white on the tailcap, but the drawback is that there is no lanyard hole.

Press the mode switch (left) to cycle Low – Mid – High modes. There is mode memory, so in whatever of the three main modes you turn the light off, it will be activated when the light’s on.
